Bats, Brushes and Backyard Fix-Ups – Sorted with Diggers Turpentine and Linseed Oil

The handy duo your toolkit’s been missing – for timber care, clean-ups, and weekend revamps.

When the job’s done and your gear’s covered in gunk—or when that old bat’s looking a bit sad in the shed—DIGGERS™ has the goods to bring it back to life.

Two essentials: DIGGERS™ Mineral Turpentine and DIGGERS™ Raw Concentrate Linseed Oil. On their own, they’re heavy hitters. But together? They’re a DIY dream team.

For Your Bat, Bench, or Back Deck

Got an old cricket bat that’s seen better days? Soften up the timber and give it a new lease on life with turpentine oil and linseed oil. Start the process by cleaning up your bat with a turpentine rub down. Then you can feed the wood with linseed oil. Even better, mix them together 50:50; you’ll soak it in deeper and deliver longer-lasting protection.

And it’s not just for bats. This turpentine and linseed oil mixture is ideal for outdoor furniture, fences, gazebos—any unfinished timber that needs some TLC. When it cures, it forms a protective fi lm that helps shield the wood from water, heat, scratches and stains.

Just remember—thin coats, let it dry, and always wipe off the excess. Then remember to chuck your rags in water once you’re done. Linseed oil can cause spontaneous combustion as it dries, so it’s important to soak used cloths in water and get rid of them properly. Trust us on that one—nobody wants a fi re hazard in the shed!

Paint Jobs Without the Pain

Brushes. Rollers. Trays. If you’ve been near an oil-based paint, you know clean-up can be a nightmare. That’s where turpentine oil shines.

Just soak your gear in a jar, work the paint loose, then rinse with warm soapy water. It’s quick, easy, and saves you from buying new brushes as often.

Got a Sticky Situation?

DIGGERS™ turpentine oil also comes in handy when you’re dealing with wax, polish or greasy surfaces. Soak a lint-free cloth, wipe in one direction, and start fresh. It’s perfect for surface prep before painting, or for cleaning up after a job well done.

Hot tip: Dip your glass cutter wheel in turpentine oil before a cut and enjoy a smoother, cleaner line.

Whether it’s reviving, thinning, or cleaning, this turpentine and linseed oil combo has well and truly earned its spot on the shelf.
